Home visitor attrition is a significant problem for many home visitation programs. Supervisors/coordinators and administrators need to understand the issues related to home visitor attrition, especially those issues they have control over. This training is designed to focus on specific strategies supervisors/coordinators and administrators can utilize to reduce staff attrition in their home visitation programs.
Objectives
Training Objectives for Supervisors and Coordinators:
- To understand the use of Realistic Job Previews (RJPs) to reduce attrition
- Be able to improve the job applicant interviewing process to reduce attrition
- To better understand the importance, to attrition, of staff orientation and socialization
