Responding and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (Virtual Blended) MOD416

Length: 2 hours
ETO: Health, Safety, and Nutrition
PDR: Yes- Arkansas PDR available for this training

Home visitors are mandated reporters and therefore required by law to report any suspected child abuse or neglect. Making a report of this kind can be very difficult. This training was created to minimize the difficulty of reporting by preparing home visitors for the process, helping them to better understand the reporting requirements, and gain a greater incite of the process that occurs once the report has been made.  (New Jan 2025)

By the end of this training, Home Visitors will:
•Know their role and legal obligation as a Mandated Reporter
•Better recognize the signs of child abuse & neglect
•Specify the types of child abuse and neglect
•Understand how to report abuse and/or neglect to the hotline and have knowledge of what occurs after making the report
