Sally Sizer Fitts majored in psychology at the University of Texas in Austin, her home town, after completing an Associate’s Degree at Monticello College in Illinois. She earned her Ph.D. in psychology from Washington State University and completed post-doctoral training at the University of Washington. Dr. Fitts has taught developmental psychology across the lifespan and published book chapters, articles, and 15 peer-reviewed papers on health-related research. She has worked at UAMS since 2009, at the North Central AHEC until moving to the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine in 2012. Sally was a founding member and continues advocacy for self-care through the Partnership for Health Literacy in Arkansas. She is pleased to be working with the MIECHV evaluation team and the AHVN to improve health and education in Arkansas.
