Military families are as diverse as non-military families but also go through a unique set of circumstances and experiences. This training will prepare home visitors with the knowledge and understanding to maximize services for military families. (MOD220) (June 2020)
Objectives
- Understand US military structure and culture as it pertains to families with young children
- Describe the unique stressors that military families experience
- Identify strategies home visitors can use to address these unique circumstances
- Recognize resources available to military families experiencing difficulties in a variety of areas
