The purpose of this module, is to help home visitors understand what compassion fatigue looks like, identify if they are at risk or already experiencing compassion fatigue, as well as how to prevent and/or manage the condition. (MOD214) (May 2017)

Objectives

Upon completion of this training, home visitors will be able to:

  • Identify the risks for compassion fatigue
  • Recognize the symptoms and warning signs of compassion fatigue
  • Use tips for preventing and managing compassion fatigue
  • Create a self-care plan
