Home visitors are mandated reporters and therefore required by law to report any suspected child abuse or neglect. Making a report of this kind can be very difficult. This training was created to minimize the difficulty of reporting by preparing home visitors for the process, helping them to better understand the reporting requirements, and gain a greater incite of the process that occurs once the report has been made. Objectives

By the end of this training Home Visitors will be able to:
•Know their role and legal obligation as a Mandated Reporter
•Better recognize the signs of child abuse & neglect
•Specify the types of child abuse and neglect
•Understand how to report abuse and/or neglect to the hotline and have knowledge of what  occurs after making the report
