Strategies to Support Family Engagement in Home Visiting (MOD029)

Length: 1.5 - 2 hours
ETO: Methods and Approaches to Working with Parents
PDR:

Parents are the first and most influential teacher in a child’s life and research has shown that family engagement in home visits predicts better program outcomes for parents and children. Effective home visitors engage families by focusing their child’s development, interacting positively to support child development, using family activities for learning, and engaging in collaborative planning. This module will assist home visitors in engaging family’s efforts to promote their children’s healthy development and learning through actively participating in home visits. MOD029
