Helping Parents Keep Their Home Safe (MOD033)

Unintentional injury is the main cause of death in infants and young children and they are preventable! Children in home visiting programs are at a higher risk because they are still growing, discovering their environment and spending much of their time where many hazards exist. For this reason, home safety is an important topic that needs to be “top of mind” in every household. This training will equip home visitors with important safety information to share with families, guide home visitors in how to assist families in decreasing hazards, and help identify beneficial resources according to each family’s needs.
