Skillful communication is the ability to convey information to and receive information from others effectively and is essential in all aspects of Home Visiting practice. It includes the crucial components of active listening and clarity in speaking or writing. An understanding of the impact of culture, socioeconomic status, and ability on communication between Home Visiting professionals and the families they serve is also important. [Our online module ‘Cross Cultural Competency for Home Visitors’ would be a good compliment to this training. Revised 2018 MOD001
