Nicholas Long, PhD., is the Director for Arkansas Home Visiting Training Institute. He is also Director of Pediatric Psychology and a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Long’s primary interests as an educator, clinician, and researcher focus on parenting.

Donna L. Carter, M.Ed., – Instructional Design and Technology Specialist

Donna Carter is an Instructional Design and Technology Specialist. She researches, designs and develops the online training for the Arkansas Home Visiting Network Training Institute, and has over fifteen years’ experience in adult education, classroom training and online learning.  

Felicia Loring, MS – Trainer

Felicia Robinson-Loring is the Training Specialist for the Arkansas Home Visiting Network Training Institute. She has over twenty years’ experience in Early Childhood Settings. Felicia has assisted in strengthening families in both private and public organizations. Felicia has provided Professional Development training opportunities to many of the Arkansas Home Visiting Programs serving families and children.

Leslie Rush, M.S.E. – Instructional Development Specialist

Leslie Rush is the Instructional Development Specialist for the Arkansas Home Visiting Network Training Institute. She has over ten years’ experience in Early Childhood Settings, specializing in working with children with exceptionalities. Leslie is an innovative educator with proven teaching, training, and curriculum development skills. Throughout her career, she has focused largely on effectively communicating with diverse families and consulting with teachers to best meet the needs of each individual child.

Sue Porbeck, BS, CHES – Coordinator

Sue Porbeck is the Project Coordinator for the Arkansas Home Visiting Training Institute. She has over 15 years experience in the health education field and coordinating various programs. Sue enjoys working with people and helping them fulfill their professional development needs. It has always been her goal to communicate and assist others whenever possible.
